The Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to promote education through the awarding of scholarships annually to students on the basis of academic achievement.

Who is eligible?
Scholarships are available for post-high school educational pursuits. Eligible applicants must be children of an employee of a direct ARA member company. All requests for applications should be forwarded to ARA Headquarters in Manassas, VA. The deadline to submit completed scholarship applications is March 15 of each year.
In 2009, nearly $35,000 was awarded for the post-high school educational pursuits of ARA members' employees' children. Donations and fund raising events derive money for the foundation.

The ARA Scholarship Foundation wishes to thank all of its donors this past year. Your generosity assist in providing students with funds to further their post-high school education. A list of this year’s recipients will appear in the January/February issue of Automotive Recycling. (click for listing) If one of your employees has a child who would like to apply, download the application below or request an application by sending an email to kelly@a-r-a.org.
Requirements for first-time applicants:
1. Be a high school senior and/or plan to continue or pursue a full-time post high school educational program.
2. First-time and/or renewal applicants must have achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program.
3. A parent must be a current employee of a Direct Member of ARA with a hire date at least one year prior to March 15 of the application year.
