The processing of ARA Scholarship Foundation Applications for 2018-19 will close soon. Please let your eligible staff know that a limited number of scholarships are available for children of recycler member employees. These scholarships may be used for post-high school education.
The ARA Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote education through the awarding of scholarships annually to students on the basis of academic achievement. The Automotive Recyclers Association maintains the Scholarship Foundation for the benefit of members and the professional automotive recycling industry.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Requirements for first-time applicants:
- Be enrolled as a high school senior, and/or plan to continue or pursue a full-time post high school program in a college, university, or school providing trade, business or technical programs.
- First-time applicants must have achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program. Renewal applicants must have achieved at least a 2.75 grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program.
- A parent must be a current employee of a Licensed Direct/Branch Recycler Member of ARA with a hire date at least one year prior to March 15 of the application year.
Completed applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2018 to be eligible for a scholarship in the 2018-19 school year. Click here for an application or send an email to email@example.com.
